I have a hard time choosing the right blush that doesn’t make me look like a clown. How do I go about finding the right color?
Choosing a blush can be fun and frustrating at the same time. A blush should give you a natural glow and enhance your beauty. One way to choose a color is to see in what color clothing you looks good. For example, if you look good in blue, green, or purple outfits, try blushes in plum, wine pink, peach, or rose.
If you wear mostly warm color outfits such as orange, red, pink, or earth tone, then you should try blushes in coral, bronze, or hot pink. In general though, most medium skin tones look good in rose or coral shade blushes, and light skin tones look good in pink and peach color blush. However if you still don’t feel comfortable with the shades I mentioned, check out golden apricot shade because this is the only shade that flatters almost every skin tone.
My lips feel very dry lately and wrinkly. I tried different lip balms which didn’t help. I have heard some spas offer exfoliation treatments for your mouth, which makes lips smooth and moisturized. But, I can’t afford to go to a spa. Do you know what they use? Is there a way I can exfoliate my lips at home to get the same result as spas do?
I know how uncomfortable dry lips can be, especially since this problem gets worse in winter time. I know some spas use products with apricot and walnut shells, and some use a gentle scrub made from a mixture of shea butter, soybean extract and jojoba oil beads. You can easily find these products at your local natural food stores. Also, buy a soft bristle tooth brush, dip it in the cream or the mixture and rub it on your lips in a circular motion. Start by doing this exfoliation treatment three times a week.
I have bought a foundation that is too light for my skin. It is totally a wrong color for me. Unfortunately, I am stuck with it. I hate to toss it out because it was expensive. Do you have any suggestions?
You still can use your foundation. If it is just a little lighter, use a bronze powder to make it blend in with your skin tone. If it is too light, mix a small amount of your foundation with a drop of bronzing gel or a darker foundation. This actually will create a custom-made foundation that would be blending in perfectly. If you ever buy a foundation that is too dark for your skin, just dilute it with your moisturizer and finish it by applying a lighter powder.
